What Does Infill Development Cost Municipalities?
Infrastructure Costs vs. Revenues Generated

Did you know that each year, LAI San Diego supports a local student with a scholarship in exchange for research on a land economics topic?

This year, UC San Diego student researcher Samantha Lee, with faculty advisor Feiyang Sun, examined the fiscal impact of infill housing by comparing the municipal revenues generated with localized infrastructure and service costs. The research also considers how California’s property tax structure and increased density affect the fiscal equation for local governments.

Join us for a Members Only presentation of the findings and discussion.
